Into long boring stories I see. Don’t say I didn’t warn you. So I was in a local weekly group (HWKT) for a year before job/time constraints annihilated the Wednesday morning meeting time. Hooked up with two smaller monthly groups to make up the difference—one SCBWI and one an offshoot of the local group. Which turned out wonderful because both groups (six people total) are hands-down amazing. Picked up #3 at Big Sur, we do weekly online chats. I’m an official groupie of #3. I could spend all day drooling over their awesomeness. They probably wouldn’t appreciate that.
Group #4 I run for KS SCBWI. Since long before (shhh don’t tell anyone) I was a member of SCBWI. And here again, they’re not only wonderful but a librarian and teacher to boot.
In short, they’re all amazing and if I stopped writing tomorrow I’d still show up just to oooo and ahhhh.
